Taigene Electric Machinery Signs Solar Power Partnership with Chailease

Share:
As the threat of global climate change continues to intensify and the global trend toward net-zero carbon emissions accelerates, the importance of renewable energy is becoming increasingly evident. Compared with traditional fossil fuels, solar energy produces no harmful greenhouse gas emissions and has become a key component of the energy transition, helping reduce the environmental impact of carbon emissions.

For many companies, increasing the use of renewable energy such as solar power has become an important goal. To raise the proportion of self-generated energy, reduce carbon emissions, and meet future customer demand for green manufacturing, Taigene has partnered with Chailease to install solar panels at its facilities. Through this project, Taigene aims to further develop green manufacturing processes while strengthening the competitiveness of its export products.

At 2:00 p.m. on April 10, 2024, Ms. Chung Hui-Ching, Chairperson of Taigene Electric Machinery, and Mr. Hsieh Ming-Hung, Senior Vice President of Chailease DiHe, held a signing ceremony at Taigene’s International Conference Hall. Mr. Chiu Chuang-Chun, General Manager of FullSun Energy—the contractor for Chailease DiHe—along with representatives from all three parties, also attended the ceremony.

Under this collaboration, Taigene will lease part of its factory space to Chailease DiHe for the installation of solar panels. The system is expected to generate approximately 4 million kWh of green electricity annually. Chailease DiHe has also committed that Taigene will have priority purchasing rights for the green electricity for the next 20 years, while maintenance and operation of the solar panels will be conducted four to five times each year. Through this partnership, both parties hope to work together to reduce environmental impact while creating optimal value.
